Asian shares rose for the fifth day, having the benchmark gauge trading near a give year high. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index climbed 0.3 percent by 10 AM in Tokyo, after it touched the highest level since June 2008.
Moreover, Jana`s Topix Index pared gains of 0.7 percent to rise only 0.1 percent, heading towards the highest close since September 27. Australia`s S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 0.3 percent, recording the seventh straight incline.
Futures on Hong Kong`s Hang Seng Index rose 0.7 percent, while Standard & Poor`s 500 Index futures slid 0.1 percent, after the index inclined in New York.
