Tata steel wins contract to supply rail track to UK


(MENAFN) India"s Tata Steel said that it has been awarded a contract to supply Britain"s railway infrastructure operator, Network Rail, with rail tracks for at least five years, The Peninsula Qatar reported. Network Rail has plans to acquire 95 percent of its rail from Tata until 2019, with the possibility to extend to 2024. The contract may lead Tata Steel to provide over a million tons of rail to Britain"s passenger and freight lines.
