APC plans to increase exports to China

(MENAFN) The Arab Potash Company (APC) in Jordan said that it has plans to increase shipments to the Chinese market, Jordan Times reported. The company announced that production is currently at 80 percent capacity and that it is aiming to double shipments to China after signing a memorandum of understanding with a Chinese company. In accordance with agreement, APC is to increase exports to China to reach 600,000 tons per year between 2014 and 2016, which is double the amount exported now. Last month, the company lowered its production capacity in order to control its stock following a downfall in the global potash market due to a collapse in potash producing companies in Russia and White Russia.
