Oman close to deal to develop 3 oil and gas blocks

(MENAFN) The Omani government is in the final stages of an agreement with oil companies for the development of three oil and gas blocks on production sharing basis, Times of Oman reported. Oman's minister of oil and gas said: "We are just finalising the agreements. Of the three blocks, one is an offshore block and the other two are onshore." The Sultanate's liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants are working at 80 percent capacity now, with the remaining 20 percent spare capacity depending on the natural gas availability, the minister said.
