429 Labour Law violators held in Oman


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Figures released by the Ministry of Manpower's joint inspection team show that 429 workers were found violating the Labour Law between October 6 and 19.

These included 330 commercial workers, 51 agricultural workers and 48 housemaids. According to the ministry, 416 workers were caught including 200 absconding workers, 192 illegal workers and 24 transferred from other departments. The ministry has initiated legal action against them. The figures also show that 225 workers were deported for violations.
