(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Bimmah group of the Quriyat Charitable Book Fair has begun collecting books for its second fair to be held during the National Day holidays. Books donated by individuals, volunteers and organisations are repriced and sold at nominal rates.
The proceeds go towards charitable work in Bimmah village. Besides, it also aims at promoting the culture of reading among people.
According to Anwar Salim Hadeed al Sinani, member of the fair's cultural committee, around 500 books have been collected so far. ''We have coordinated with a number of our contacts in the governorates of Muscat, Batinah and Sharqiyah for collecting used books from people.''
