US oil imports to drop by 50 percent


(MENAFN) The West"s energy watchdog expects the oil imports of the US to drop by 50 percent by the end of 2020 according to its rising oil and gas production, Arab News reported. The US is expected to surpass Russia to become the world's largest oil producer, The Paris-based International Energy Agency (IEA) reported. IEA said that improving the US efficiency in energy savings will decrease its dependent on imported oil.
