UAE, Vietnam Discuss Enhancing Cooperation


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) UAE Minister of Development and International Cooperation Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, has discussed with the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Phuong Nga, cooperation and partnership relations between the UAE and Vietnam. The Ministry of Development and International Cooperation, in a statement issued on Saturday, said the two sides also reviewed friendship bonds and ways to activate mechanisms of mutual work in all domains between the two countries Sheikha Lubna underscored the importance given by the UAE to the Asian countries, hailing the existing developmental experiences in these countries, especially the Vietnamese surging one She cited the significance of intensifying the mutual visits and meetings between the two sides in all aspects For her part, the Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed her country's keenness to bolster partnership with the UAE within the accelerating growth indicators achieved by the UAE, stressing that all Asian countries consider the UAE as a strategy window, due to its location and its enormous potentials in the Middle East Nguyen Phuong Nga called to activate ways of cooperation, particularly in the economic, tourist, cultural, developmental experience and the exchange of expertise between the two parties She also appreciated the UAE's efforts in supporting various developmental and humanitarian projects in the Asian countries At the end of the meeting, the two sides exchanged souvenirs and Sheikha Lubna presented a copy of the 'UAE Foreign Aid Report 2012' to the visiting delegation Earlier Thursday, UAE Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Dr.Tareq Ahmed Al-Haydan conferred with visiting Vietnam's deputy foreign minister Phuong Nga, to discuss issues of mutual concern and means of bolstering bilateral relations in the various domains in addition to reviewing the latest developments in the region.
