Omanisation panel calls for vocational training

The joint committee for Omanisation in the auto sector held a meeting on Thursday at the Ministry of Manpower. A press release said that it was held under the patronage of Hussain Jawad, chairman of the board of directors and also the joint committee chairman. According to the release, the meeting discussed the importance of giving vocational training to Omanis to meet the requirements of the labour market.

Apart from this, the meeting also noted the importance of utilising the experience of citizens in the auto sector and coping with the latest developments. A number of other important proposals were discussed at the meeting including preparing a strategy to increase the rate of Omanisation in the sector, the release added.
