(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The main committee of the Traffic Safety Competition visited several wilayats on Tuesday and Wednesday to meet participants.
A press release said that the committee includes the assistant inspector general for police, customs, and operations and several ROP officials and director generals of ministries from Al Awabi, Sohar, Mahdha and Ibri. The committee was briefed on the participants' projects.
The committee was also told about the efforts taken by walis for the competition. The committee will visit other wilayats later. The Traffic Safety Competition aims at promoting road safety and engaging individuals to work towards spreading awareness on the issue.
It also highlights efforts taken towards this end by governmental departments, civil and private sector establishments, and individuals, the release said.
