Iran calls for furniture sector's programs


(MENAFN) The head of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran calls for improvement programs for Iranian furniture sector as the country's share in the global furniture trade is not significant, according to Iran Daily. Hamid Safdel said that the world's furniture trade reached USD146 billion last year, mentioning that Italy, China, Mexico, Germany and the US are the top makers of furniture. Iran's exports of furniture reached USD12 million in ten years to 2011. "The exports rose to $30 million in 2012," Safdel said.
