Italy's Gucci opens its new branch in Bahrain


(MENAFN) Italy-based Gucci, one of the world's leading luxury fashion brands, has signed a joint venture agreement with local partner Taleela, a step towards investing in Bahraini market, according to Gulf Daily News. The new Gucci branch was opened in Moda Mall, Bahrain World Trade Centre. The brand's first branch in Bahrain was launched at the Sheraton complex in 1989. Chief executive of Economic Development Board Kamal Ahmed said: "Gucci's decision to begin new activities in Bahrain is testament to the kingdom's strong economic growth, particularly in the non-oil economy, and the attractiveness of the kingdom for regional visitors."
