Tyre burst leaves man dead in RAK


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  A 22-year-old Emirati man died on the spot, while another 20-year-old was seriously injured in a horrific car accident on Khalifa Road on Tuesday. Col Ali Saeed, Director of Traffic and Patrol Department at RAK Police, said the accident occurred when the tyre of the car in which the duo was travelling burst. He said that M.S.M., who was at the wheel, was travelling with his friend M.S.A. in the passenger seat, when suddenly the tyre exploded leading the car to flip several times before coming to a halt. While M.S.A. died instantly, M.S.M. received serious injuries. Col Ali Saeed added, the police on receiving information about the accident at 9am rushed the civil defence, ambulance and police patrol teams to the accident site. The car occupants were taken to the nearest hospital, where M.S.A. was declared brought dead and his body sent to the morgue to complete the burial procedures.
