(MENAFN) The total earnings of Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) in the first three quarters hit USD156 million, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
The company"s earnings recorded a 2.2 percent increase from the prior-year period when profit was at USD153 million.
The company suffered a loss of USD5.26 million on derivative instruments in the period, bringing the net profit of the company down to USD150.7 million. In the same period last year, the firm gained USD0.218 million on derivative instruments and recording a net profit of USD153.28 for the company.
The loss in derivative instruments is cited to disqualifiying derivatives for not adhering with the International Accounting Standard 39.
