Runaway maid arrested for stabbing compatriot

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Ras Al Khaimah Police arrested a 27-year-old Ethiopian woman on Monday for allegedly stabbing a compatriot man using a sharp knife during a quarrel between them in their house. The man was rushed to the hospital by his friends who were called in by him. The hospital informed the police that they had received a man with several stab wounds in his abdomen. Col Al Abdullah Al Munkhas, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, said they reached the hospital immediately and asked him about the identity of the person who assaulted him. The victim lied, saying he was stabbed by three Asians. The police were not convinced. During subsequent investigation, an eyewitness told the CID officers that the man had been living in the house with two women from his country. Upon raiding the house, one of the women confessed that she stabbed the man after she lost her temper during a quarrel. The police arrested her and transferred the other woman to the immigration authorities for staying in the country illegally. The police also found out the two women are absconding maids. The police confronted the victim with these details, and he confessed that the arrested woman was the one who stabbed him
