Asian shares continue to fall, fears dominate the market

Asian shares fell in Tuesday early trades extending the series of declines started in the end of last week. The regional gauge set for the longest fall in six weeks, while fears continued to dominate equity markets with along with having no progress in the U.S. debt ceiling negotiations.

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell 0.3 percent to 137.51 as of 10:12 AM in Tokyo. Analysts expect a sharp fall for in the global financial system, if the situation in the United Stated wasn`t resolved, noting that Wall Street already witnessed sharp declines with the partial government shutdown reaching the second week.

Moreover, Japan`s Topix Index slid 0.6 percent, affected by the released data showing the nation`s trade balance below estimates. South Korea`s Kospi Index declined 0.6 percent, while Australia`s S&P/ASX 200 Index fell 0.7 percent, although data showed business confidence inclined in September to the highest in more than 3 years.

New Zealand`s NZX 50 Index dropped 0.2 percent, while futures on the Standard and Poor`s 500 Index shed 0.2 percent, after the gauge dropped on Monday to a one-month low.
