Tokyo's investors keep eye on US shutdown woes

(MENAFN) Investors of Tokyo are cautious of the US shutdown and will keep an eye on it this week as the shutdown is expected to cause a huge debt and economic crisis, according to Oman Observer. Nikkie registered its lowest rate in a month of a 0.94 percent drop last Friday. Kenzaburo Suwa, strategist with Okasan Securities, said: "Players will keep an eye on the US budget stand-off next week." Suwa added: "But we may see an early end to the impasse as (President Barack) Obama appears serious by cancelling key conferences overseas."
