HSBC Oman appoints three senior executives


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) In a move to support Oman's nationalisation agenda, HSBC Bank Oman has announced the appointment of three new senior executives in key strategic business areas. 

Saud al Shidhani joins the bank as deputy chief operating officer, Abdul Qadir al Sumali as deputy general manager of retail banking and wealth management, and Sulaiman al Lamki as deputy chief risk officer. These seasoned Omani bankers bring to HSBC Bank Oman extensive local knowledge and banking experience as it continues on its journey to become the leading bank in Oman.

Shidhani has worked in a variety of specialised roles including banking operations, IT and risk management for more than 18 years, in Oman and Egypt, and joins from National Bank of Oman (NBO) where he served as divisional head of operations.

Sumali also joins from NBO where he was head of retail business. He has 20 years of retail banking experience and has been involved in building and transforming retail distribution. This includes time at BankDhofar, where he started his banking career, as well as running The Fund for Development of Youth Projects (Sharakah).

Lamki has worked in global financial services for over 18 years gaining significant risk, integration and audit experience with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group in the UK as well as KPMG in UK and Oman. He joins from the State General Reserve Fund where he was chief internal auditor.
