Airbus orders go over 1,000 in first 3 quarters


(MENAFN) Airbus orders went over the 1,000 mark in the first three quarters of 2013, after receiving confirmation on pending orders from several European carries, The Peninsula Qatar reported. Germanys leading airline, Lufthansa, however, lowered it orders on the largest passenger jet in the world to 14 after it had cancelled three A380 superjumbo orders. Ten of the ordered planes have already been delivered. The aircraft manufacturer said that the total orders in the nine month period, excluding cancellations, hit 1,062 orders, of which 445 have been delivered.
