Qatar GDP boosted to 6 pct in Q2

(MENAFN) QNB Group reported that the economy in Qatar improved during the period from April to June as its GDP boosted to 6.0 percent, according to Arab News. Growth in construction, financial, real estate, business, and transport and communication services multiplied during the same period. However, the oil and gas sector saw a growth of only 1 percent in the same period of the current year compared to the previous year. It is expected that the GDP to hit 6.5 percent growth by the end of 2013, and 6.8 percent in 2014.
