Iran to become East Asias energy supplier


(MENAFN) As energy consumption in East Asia is significantly increasing, it is expected that Iran will become its major energy supplier, according to Iran Daily. It is also forecasted that energy consumption of East Asia will boost 25 percent by 2030, said Managing Director of Iran Oil Pipeline and Telecommunications Company Ali Ziar. Ali Ziar said: "Infrastructures established for crude oil and oil products pipeline network as well as rich hydrocarbon reserves and geopolitical and territorial positions have made Iran an important place in the Middle East." "At present, possession of energy and infrastructures for energy transfer indicates power and wealth. Over the past several years, Central Asian states have changed the energy balance in a way that would benefit Iran," he added.
