Kuwait Crude Price Up 15 Cents to USD 105.64 pb


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Kuwaiti crude oil price was up 15 cents to USD 105.64 per barrel (pb) on Friday compared to USD 105.49 pb the day before, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said on Saturday. International oil prices recorded their first weekly gains in three weeks with discontinuation of half crude production of the Gulf of Mexico yesterday due to the approaching of hurricane Katrina, reported Kuwait news agency (KUNA) The dollar index dropped compared to a basket of key currencies including the sterling pound, Japanese Yen, Euro, and Swiss Franc, while the oil barrel price is affected in an inverse relation with the dollar exchange price. US crude futures closed with 53 cents increase to reach USD 103.84 pb, reaching their highest at USD 104.19 pb, while Brent crude futures increased 46 cents to reach USD 109.46 pb.
