Kuwait- Petition revoked


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Court of Appeals on Thursday revoked the petition submitted by the Public Prosecution against the ruling of the Court of First Instance, which had acquitted two broadcasters of a local TV channel accused of breaching public security when they read the press statement of the parliamentary majority. The defendants lawyer, Attorney Dr Khalid Al-Kafifa, argued his clients didnt breach the law as they acted in line with Articles 36 and 37 of the Constitution that guarantee freedom of expression and freedom of the press.
