Iranian Qeshm hit 583 pct growth in H1
(MENAFN) Earnings of the Iranian Qeshm Customs Department hit a 583 percent growth during March to September of the current year compared to last year, according to Iran Daily.
Foreign transit goods, imports and travelers spending money were the main reasons behind the revenues growth of Qeshm Island.
Hussein Saeedi, the head of Qeshm Customs Department, said: "The Persian Gulf island imported 17,678 tons of goods worth USD93.789 million."
He added: "The Iranian island transited more than 5,120 tons of commodities valued at 173.27 billion rials in the period, up 38 percent and 65 percent in terms of quantity and value respectively year-on-year."
