(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Infra Oman 2013, organised by Al Nimr Expo in collaboration with the ministries of Transport and Communications and Commerce and Industry, was inaugurated on Monday under the patronage of Dr Rasheed bin al Safi bin Khamis al Huraibi, chairman of the Tender Board.
The exhibition brings together government officials and leading international and local businesses from the infrastructure industry.
''For the first time, the exhibition has a Japanese pavilion featuring over 20 companies,'' said Salim Omar al Hashmi, CEO, Al Nimr Expo, calling it a success for his firm as Oman is not the highest-end market in GCC. Other pavilions have firms from Egypt, Germany, Iran, Italy, Turkey, UAE and the UK.
Melwin D'Cunha, managing director of Al Nimr Expo, said, ''The event is aimed at providing companies the opportunity to reach out to their targeted clients, including decision makers and top officials in Oman's building and construction industry.''
The three-day exhibition is hosting companies dealing in construction requirements, green and future buildings, heavy equipment and technologies, hotel and tourism projects, industrial free zones, industrial manufacturing, power and water technologies, renewable energy and environment, tools and equipment, transportation and logistics, infrastructure projects, build and supply and other development projects.
According to officials from Al Nimr Expo, Infra Oman is the only BPA-audited exhibition in the country.
''Infra Oman 2013 is your direct gateway to opportunities in this sector, enabling your company to play a prominent role in the country's development by bringing together all leading companies in the industry, ministry officials, CEOs and other senior managers.
Infra Oman serves as an ideal platform for networking with key decision makers, expanding your business contacts and strengthening your presence in Oman's construction market,'' Hashmi added. Exhibition timings are 10am to 1pm and 4.30pm to 8.30pm
