(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A 40-year-old Sudanese man died instantly after falling from the fifth floor of his apartment building in Al Qassimiya area on Saturday.
The police launched intensified investigations to determine the reasons behind the fall of the man, identified as Yasser Saber. According to the police, the victim may have had suicidal tendencies.
A police spokesman said that they were notified about the incident at 7.50am and although the police team reached the scene at once, the man had succumbed to his injuries. Police forensics collected finger prints from the scene including the flat where the victim resided.
A prosecutor who was present at the scene ordered the body to be moved to a police forensic laboratory to help in the investigations. A number of close associates of the victim have also been taken in for interrogation by the police.
