Kuwait- Union To Link With Cooperative Societies Electronically


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Secretary General of the Cooperative Societies Union Nabil Al-Mufreh said the inspection teams formed to monitor the prices of commodities in cooperative societies for three months will soon complete their task, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. In a recent press statement, Al- Mufreh revealed that by the end of this month, the teams will finish their work and then they will prepare reports to be submitted to the union before forwarding them to Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Zikra Al-Rashidi to take the necessary legal procedures against the cooperative societies found to have disregarded the decisions issued by the Pricing Commission. Meanwhile, Al-Mufreh unveiled a plan to link the union with the coop-erative societies electronically in order enable the union to control and follow up the prices 24 hours for the consumers to be aware of the issue. Moreover, Al-Mufreh confirmed the union signed a contract with a certain company to update the automated system, adding that the company started the work some months ago, including the installation of major servers and the software. He said more than 50 percent of the cooperative societies will be linked to the union upon completion of the procedures for connecting and unifying the electronic system between them. Asked about the cost of the project, Al-Mufreh explained it will be implemented through the full support of a company specialized in modern systems for three years. He praised the efforts of the company in contributing to the implementation of such a vital project
