Turkey keen to take part in Wetex


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A delegation from the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, or Dewa, led by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, vice-chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and managing director and chief executive officer of the Dewa, met Murat Akyuz, chairman of the board of the general secretariat of the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association, or Immib, and Coskun Kirlogu, secretary-general of the Immib board of directors and chairman of Group Associations The Dewa team included Dr Yousef Ibrahim Al Akraf, executive vice-president for HR and Business Support; Eng Waleed Salman, executive vice-president for Strategy and Business Development; Dawood Khalid, senior manager for Commercial; and Ahmed Abdullah, senior manager for External Communication. Al Tayer briefed the Turkish side about Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030, presented the Water, Energy Technology and Environment Exhibition, or Wetex 2014, and the Dewa's potential future projects. Al Tayer expressed the Dewa's interest to strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities with the Turkish side. Akyuz also expressed the interest of Immib Associations to identify business development and investments opportunities in Dubai. The Turkish side also expressed its interest in participating in Wetex 2014 as a key exhibitor and partner.
