Kuwait- Bloggers acquitted


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Court of Appeals upheld the verdict issued by Court of First Instance, which acquitted five Kuwaiti 'Twitter' users of the charges of posting offensive comments about the Amiri entity on their 'Twitter' accounts. The Criminal Court had earlier acquitted Mohammad Khalid Al-Ajmi, Fares Al-Bahlan, Rashid Al-Enezi, Abdullah Abdullah Al- Mutairi and Fahad Al-Jufaira from the charges against them. They had affirmed in front of the court that they appreciate and respect the entity of HH the Amir. The defenses of the defendants requested the court to acquit their clients, disproving the accusations submitted against them.
