USD109 b worth of investments in GCC roads, bridges and rail


(MENAFN) Ongoing investments in roads and bridges in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) reached USD109 billion, Times of Oman reported. Saudi Arabia has investments in roads, bridges and railway that amount to USD77 billion. Meanwhile, The UAE's investments in the sector are currently worth USD58 billion. In Qatar, investments hit USD55 billion divided into USD20 billion for roads and USD35 billion for a rail network. Oman has investments in roads, rail and bridges infrastructure with an estimated worth of USD14.8 billion in the next few years. Around 75 percent of the total USD109 billion in roads, bridges and railway is in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar.
