Kuwaitis, bedouns held for drugs


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested in Salmiya area in possession of 740 narcotic pills, a piece of hashish, a large sum of money and tools for drug intake. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen under the guidance of Hawally Security Director Gholoum Habib, were patrolling Amman Street in Salmiya area at night when they saw two individuals walking and carrying some bags. The suspicions of the patrol officers were aroused when they tried to run away as soon as they noticed the patrol vehicle. Securitymen chased them and managed to catch them. They checked their details and discovered they are Kuwaiti citizens. Noticing their disoriented behaviour, securitymen checked their bags and found 740 narcotic pills, a piece of hashish, a large sum of money and tools for drug intake. They were arrested and referred to the Directorate General for Drug Control for necessary legal action against them. Meanwhile, Hawally securitymen arrested two Bedoun youths in possession of hashish pieces and a large sum of money in Hawally area. Sources revealed that securitymen saw them standing in front of a building and approached them for questioning. Sensing their nervousness, securitymen checked them and found the hashish and the money they obtained from selling the hashish. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
