White House locked Down after Security Alert over Firecrackers

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The White House was locked down in a sudden security alert after a man threw firecrackers over the north outer fence, hours after the shooting incident that killed 13 people at Washington Navy yard. Secret Service spokesman Edwin Donovan said that a man was arrested outside the White House after setting off fireworks, discounting earlier reports of shots fired. Witnesses said uniformed Secret Service officers tackled a man outside the gate soon after the incident, as reporters and staff were quickly hustled back into the White House complex.
