Kuwait- Fake dollars sold to man

(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Lebanese expatriate represented by Attorney Yousef Hussein filed a case with the Public Prosecution against an exchange company in Kuwait International Airport, accusing it of selling him counterfeit dollars. According to the case files, the plaintiff went to the airport on August 20 to travel to Lebanon. Before boarding, he went to an exchange company inside the airport to buy dollars worth KD 7,000 and 750 Lebanese liras. The invoice indicated that he paid KD 2,130 through K-net and KD 50 cash. When he reached Lebanon and went to a bank to deposit some of the money, he was shocked when the bank informed him that the dollars are fake. Immediately, the Lebanese Public Security was summoned and they confiscated the money. For confirmation, he went to a Lebanese exchange company to check about the fake currency and discovered that the entire sum except $500 was counterfeit. The plaintiff immediately returned to Kuwait and addressed the matter to the exchange company in order to obtain back his money. The company asked him to check the CCTV records to identify the staff who sold him the fake dollars.
