UAE- DSAA shifts to Dubai Customs new building


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Dubai Shipping Agents' Association (DSAA) recently shifted to the new Dubai Customs building. The DSAA was established in 1999, with the main objective of promoting the joint interests of the shipping agency community in Dubai. As the region's premier commercial hub, Dubai attracts significant volumes of sea and air cargo and passenger traffic. Consequently, the role of the shipping agent becomes increasingly important in this key area of commerce. The need for such an association constituting of shipping agents, doing business in the ports of Dubai, was welcomed by the shipping fraternity. The Dubai Shipping Agents Association is a non-profit organisation, not engaged in any commercial activity. In essence, The DSAA provides a forum for members to pool information, focus on items of general concern and interest, facilitate interaction with the government authorities or other relevant bodies, and foster the future development of the shipping industry in Dubai. Its main objectives are to promote the joint interests of the shipping agents' community in Dubai; assist in the advancement of the shipping industry; promote sound business ethics and professional conduct among registered shipping agents.
