(MENAFN- Arab Times) An Ethiopian housemaid was referred to Jahra police station by officers on patrol in the area when she could not provide her civil ID card during checking. Security sources said the Ethiopian was wandering near a cooperative society when police spotted her, and she broke into tears when the officers asked for her civil ID card, and couldn't provide one.
She was then referred to the police station. Meanwhile, at the station, an Egyptian man started calling the Ethiopian's mobile and she confessed that the man had promised to marry her. She also said the Egyptian took her to a flat and had sex with her, after which he promised to help her obtain dependant visa if only she ran away from the sponsor.
Later, the Egyptian dropped the girl near the cooperative society and promised to be back after 5 minutes, but he never turned up. Police collected the Egyptian's mobile number, and necessary measures were taken to arrest him.
