Poland increases exports outside eurozone


(MENAFN) Poland aims to lessen its dependence on the struggling European market for exports, Times of Oman reported. The country is exporting more and more goods to markets outside the urozone such as the Middle East and Asia. In the first six months of this year, exports from Poland increased by 6 percent hitting USD97.4 billion. Exported goods to some eurozone countries dropped in the period but total exports to the region grew 1.1 percent and exports to the European Union increased 1.9 percent to reach USD72.6 billion. Exports to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), increased to 7.2 percent registering a 12.7 percent increase, while exports to other developing countries excluding the CIS increased 22.8 percent.
