Global commodity prices dropping
(MENAFN) The Economist's commodity-price index went down by 16.5 per cent in dollar terms in the 12-month period ended last July, Times of Oman reported.
Prices of commodities are now decreasing after being on the rise for more than a decade. Metal prices have been going down ever since reaching their highest in the beginning of 2011.
Food prices took longer to start their fall but have dropped considerably in the past year. The only commodity that kept its high price is oil, but oil prices are not stable.
