(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Award winning jewellery retailer Pure Gold Jewellers has recorded a 15 per cent increase in sales since June this year because of ongoing summer promotions and Eid celebrations.
The company expects diamond sales to remain stable for the rest of the year and foresees an increase of five to 10 per cent for gold jewellery sales.
Firoz Merchant, chairman, Pure Gold Jewellers, said: "We have seen an increase in the number of GCC tourists this summer, which has helped us to record double digit growth in sales. Most of the tourists were from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries. Our ongoing promotions offering raffle draws for luxury cars and holiday packages and offers on our popular diamond jewellery range has attracted more customers. The Eid period saw a peak in sales."
Commenting on his outlook for gold prices in the near term future, he said: "I believe by the end of this year gold prices will increase by 10-15 per cent from the current levels."
Pure Gold Jewellers' raffle draw till today (August 31), for two luxuries Mercedes E-Series sedans. Customers also stand to win gold bars and vouchers from Emirates Holidays to indulge in a lavish vacation through instant scratch and win cards.
Nidal Awad Hadad from Jordan who won three 24 karat gold bars, said: "I decided to shop at Pure Gold Jewellers for this Eid to buy gifts for my fiancée, my mother and sister. I received three vouchers and I won a gold bar for each of the voucher. I guess I am lucky, we are all very happy that we won multiple bars."
Another winner, Muhammad Younis from Pakistan bought a gift for his son's wife because she was visiting them for the first time. He won three holiday vouchers.
"I am so happy my wife insisted we buy our daughter-in-law a gift and we are thrilled to win the holiday vouchers," Younis added.
Raffle draw winners for the luxury cars will be announced by September first week.
