Apple Introduces iPhone Buyback Program

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Apple introduced a trade-in program for older iPhones Friday at its US stores as it readies for the launch of new models to fight intensifying competition from Samsung and other companies. The consumer electronics giant said it would pay up to 280 dollars to customers to use against the purchase of new iPhones. Apple is widely expected to introduce new iPhone models on September 10. "In addition to helping support the environment, customers will be able to receive a credit for their returned phone that they can use toward the purchase of a new iPhone," Apple said in a statement. To be eligible for the Apple trade-in deal, the iPhone has to be functional and free of water damage.
