Turkish Airlines sales revenue jumps 22 percent


(MENAFN) Turkish Airlines reported sales revenue of USD4.6 billion in the first half of this year registering a 22 percent increase compared to the prior-year period, Saudi Gazette reported. The carrier's net profit dropped 30 percent to USD67 million. Overall net operating profit, however, increased by 190 percent up to USD243 million. In the first half, 26 percent more passengers were carried, around 22.4 million passengers. Turkish Airlines fleet includes 182 narrow body, 40 wide body and 10 cargo planes bringing it to a total of 232 aircrafts.
