(MENAFN) Vodafone Group Plc discussed the enterprise of selling 45 percent of its stake to its US partner Verizon Communications Inc.
People with knowledge of the matter stated that the sale contract will be for about USD130 billion.
Vodafone forms 9.6 percent of London trading, while Verizn works to raise USD10 billion from the banks it works with, which is enough to finance USD60 billion of the buyout.
The Newbury, England-based company said there is "no certainty that an agreement will be reached."
