Emirati female pilot to chair international conventions


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) An Emirati female pilot Captain Aliaa Al Himyari has been unanimously elected by the Arab Economists and Administrators Union Board of Directors in the European Union to chair the European Centre for International Conventions. The election was made at a meeting of the Union in the headquarters of the EU in Netherlands. Al Himyari, the second vice-president of the Emirates Aviation Association Board of Directors and general advisor of the Association, will help conduct international conventions between professional organisations from Arab and EU countries. She will also work to create professional partnerships and agreements between the professional organisations in both the Arab countries and the EU member states. Other duties she will carry out include overseeing the implementation of the agreements and partnerships, and organising training programmes and practical forums in the field of international conventions, which boost Euro-Arab professional partnerships.
