(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) As the Omani industry is witnessing an outstanding growth as a result of the excellent quality of the locally-manufactured products, the Omani' campaign is dedicated to encourage consumers, including individuals and institutions, to buy local products and services and play a role in supporting the national economy.
To reach to a wider segment of the community, Omani Products Expo kicked off recently at Lulu hypermarket in Salalah under the patronage of Sheikh Said bin Ali Nafl al Mashali, Acting Deputy Governor of Dhofar. Organised by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), the exhibition, which comes in line with the ongoing Salalah Tourism Festival 2013, will continue till August 25. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Mashali stressed that Omani products are popular in the market, creating an intense competition in terms of price, quality and nutritional value. "Undoubtedly, the future of Omani products shall be a bright one," he said.
Said bin Ali al Maashani, director general of Raysut Industrial Estate, highlighted the importance of holding exhibitions for the opportunity they provide for Omani products to compete with other global imported products. "It is heartening indeed to witness Omani products compete strongly with other products in terms of the excellent quality and affordable prices. We hope to see more small and medium enterprises in these exhibitions," Al Maashani noted.
He added, "Raysut Industrial Estate, in cooperation with Directorate General of Marketing and Media at PEIE, is undertaking efforts to promote Omani products through exhibitions. An exhibition will take place at Doha Exhibition Centre in Doha from November 17 -20, which will showcase various national industries.
The fair will be organised in cooperation with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) and Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (PAIPED).
