WTI rises on US supply forecast


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) West Texas Intermediate crude gained for a second day amid speculation that US stockpiles fell and Middle East unrest will curb the region's exports. WTI for September delivery advanced as much as $1.09 to $107.20 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange and traded for $107.08 at 10:32 am London time. The volume of all futures traded was two per cent below the 100-day average. Prices have climbed 16 per cent this year. Brent for September settlement gained 86 cents to $109.83 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The European benchmark crude was at a premium of $2.75 to WTI, compared with $2.86 on Monday.
