Iran raises production at South Pars


(MENAFN) Iran increased gas production in the South Pars gas field by 1 million cubic meters per day, Tehran Times reported. The increase in production was at the phases 4 and 5 of the field. The Iranian Oil Minister said that the development of the phases at the field is still going according to plan regardless of the sanctions. 300 million cubic meters per day of gas are being produced from the South Pars field. The gas field is made up of 29 phases containing 8 percent of the world's reserve of about 14 trillion cubic meter of natural gas and over 18 billion barrels of Liquefied natural gas.
