WTI Crude fluctuates as brent drops


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) West Texas Intermediate crude swung between gains and losses after the biggest rally in more than a week. Brent fell for the sixth time in seven days. WTI crude for September delivery was 16 cents lower at $105.81 a barrel at 8:22 am in Singapore. It advanced $2.57 to settle at $105.97 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange on August 9. Brent oil for September settlement fell 37 cents, or 0.3 per cent, to $107.85 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange. The European benchmark traded at a premium of $2.05 to WTI, down from $2.25 on August 9.
