US Treasury 30 year auction result

(MENAFN- AFP) The high yield slipped slightly Thursday as the US Treasury auctioned off $16 billion in 30-year bonds.

The high yield fell to 3.652 percent from 3.660 percent at the July 11 30-year sale.

The bid-to-cover ratio was 2.11, compared to 2.26 last month, as worries about the Federal Reserve's plans for slowing its stimulus continued to hang over the market.

Direct bidders took up 17.09 percent of the issue, and indirect 40.18 percent.

The next 30-year bond auction is on September 12.
