Etihad Airways and Gulf Air delay flights on Tuesday

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways and Gulf Air delayed flights by global outage on Tuesday morning, according to Gulf News. The passenger reservation system worldwide failure lasted for two hours at around 8 am local time and 100 airports that use the system for scheduling were affected by the outage. The airline could be able to reduce delays by checking in passengers manually until the system came on after two-hour outage. Dubai-based airline was impacted by the system failure as am Emirates spokesperson asserted. He said: " The Emirates Group was temporarily affected by the outage, but the impact on our operations overall has been relatively limited" Sabre is only one of a number of IT partners supporting our business and the outage was not prolonged." "Etihad Airways apologises for the temporary inconvenience caused." he added.
