Topaz secures charters to provide support vessels for Filanovsky project


(MENAFN) Topaz Energy and Marine declared signing a USD20 million contract in the Russian Filanovsky fields for nine of its support vessels, Time of Oman reported. The vessels are to provide support in the development of the Filanovsky project by performing tug services and anchor-handling as well as transportation of personnel and supplies. Chief Operating Officer in Topaz Energy and Marine, Roy Donaldson, said: "Development of the Russian sector offers a great deal of exciting new prospects to Topaz, which is already well-established in the Caspian Sea. Our fleet is young, diverse, well-equipped, and can stand up to the challenge of working in harsh climates and arduous environmental conditions such as the ones in the Northern Caspian." Topaz has over sixty support vessels operating in the region offering tug support and anchor-handling services.
