(MENAFN- Arab Times) Three youths were arrested in Salmiya in possession of drugs and drug-intake equipments. One among the suspect, who was wanted by law for a number of cases, had assaulted an officer and threatened to murder him while resisting arrest. According to security sources, when Hawally securitymen were patrolling Salmiya area, they noticed a youth driving his vehicle in an unsteady manner and accompanied with two other youths. When they demanded the driver to stop, one of the youths jumped out of the vehicle and ran from the location. One of the patrol officer chased him while the other requested for backup and followed the other two suspects.
While the officer was chasing the suspect, the latter stopped and hit the officer on the head and chest. He then threatened to murder the officer with a weapon. He was detained after backup officer arrived at the location. The other two youths were also arrested. When they checked the vehicle, securitymen found drugs and drug-intake equipments. Several cases were registered against them and they were referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them. Meanwhile, a 42-year old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for firing gunshots near a graveyard in Sulaibikhat. Securitymen checked his details and discovered that he was involved in some drug cases.
Woman seduced: A 23-year old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for attempting to seduce a Kuwaiti woman by sending her inappropriate pictures and messages to her mobile phone and calling her at night.
According to security sources, after the Kuwaiti woman had filed a case at Jaber Al-Ali Police Station against an unknown suspect, securitymen took down the number of the suspect and investigated to discover he is a 23-year old Kuwaiti citizen. He was summoned to the police station and legal action was taken against him.
